Namitha's father is a businessman (Pramod) and her mother is a housemaker (Indu). Namitha has a sibling Akhita Pramod. Namitha done her schooling at Carmel Girls Higher Secondary School in Thiruvananthapuram.Namitha done graduation as BA degree in Sociology in June 2014. Namitha has said that she was "not going to let acting career compromise studies".

Namitha learned the dance steps in Saranya Mohan's dance school in Alappuzha for 4 days she was not trained in Mohiniyattam. as Both movies were commercially hit and Namitha was elected as Top Star (Female) 2013 in Malayalam.
In the year 2014, Namitha was first featured in En Kadhal Pudhithu, her launched in Tamil film directed by Maaris Kumar which had a delayed release, Then Lijin Jose's Law Point in which Namitha played character of a modern, city bred girl named Maya.
